Cinematography. Photography. Finger guns.
Nektar Productions is made up of one girl who is made up of coffee (this is probably not completely accurate but let's go with it!)
I originally discovered cinematography when I was 15. I was slightly obsessed with Youtube and spent many hours after school watching videos and being fascinated that it was so easy to present your videos to the world through this online platform. Of course, I decided I wanted to make videos just like my favorite Youtubers so I grabbed my parents old Panasonic video camera (circa early 2000s) and started making videos where a majority of my life at the time took place: high school. (These videos still live on Youtube but you'll have to creep to find them.)
Fast forward to college. I stopped making videos and decided to pursue a marketing degree. I graduated with said degree and was hired as a social media marketer at a small business. This wasn't an ordinary account management position; all team members needed to be proficient in photography, cinematography, and graphic design to create original content for each client, all of which I was definitely not proficient. This is where my video and photo journey really started to take shape. I spent many hours after work and on my days off watching tutorials, reading articles, talking to other videographers / photographers, and creating pieces of video media / taking photos.
It's been almost three years and I've come a long way since then. I'm more passionate and excited about cinematography and photography than ever before!
